Canadian scientists published this finding in the journal Nature . Researchers have isolated cells from adult human skin and they have introduced a gene reprogramming. Being in the presence of a special cocktail of growth factors, cells were transformed directly parents that give rise to all blood cells and white blood without passing through an intermediate state of stem cell. The proof is that the type of hemoglobin produced by these cells is as adult hemoglobin in the blood, stem cells, however, lead to a hemoglobin similar to that of the embryo, which is different from adults. This achievement brings the possibility of using direct reprogramming for healing, but scientists insist that there is still much to refine technology to reach clinical practice. Source:
